It’s actually a great mix between jetty fishing and deep sea fishing that offers the opportunity for big fish without the time commitment of a half or full day of deep sea fishing. Flounder gigging is a method of fishing that involves hunting for flounder at night using a long spear or flounder gig. Typically gigging for flounder is done at night using a light to illuminate the bottom and spot the flounder, which are known to hide in the sand or mud. Once a flounder is spotted, the fisherman will use the gig to spear or stab the fish, either by hand or with a pole.

The Shark Hunt trip is an action-packed adventure as we target ONLY big Sharks. This is a pure adrenaline flowing experience. We travel from the marina out into the Gulf of Mexico from the beachfront looking for shrimp boats up to 30 miles out around oil platforms and underwater wrecks and reefs hunting for these beasts of the ocean.

Most Galveston inshore fishing charters are located just minutes from the action, with jetties and beaches providing immediate fishing access. Local specialties include big Black Drum and trophy Redffish, with Speckled Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, and much more there for the catching, too.
